Biography
Professor Georgios A. Antonopoulos has conducted research for the local authorities in Britain, the British Police, the British Ministry of Justice and the European Commission. He has published widely in the areas of organised crime and illegal markets as well as ethnicity, crime and justice, and in a range of international peer-reviewed journals including the European Journal of Criminology, the British Journal of Criminology, Crime, Law & Social Change, and the International Criminal Justice Review.
Research Interest
Georgios' research interests include the criminality, criminalisation and victimisation of minority ethnic groups and migrants, organised crime and illegal markets (cigarette black market, counterfeit products, stolen cars, human smuggling and trafficking). Georgios has a special interest in Greece, the Balkans and China.
