Biography
Santiago has been employed with a large Midwest Law Enforcement Agency for the past 10 years. During his tenure he has performed the functions of a police officer, federal task force officer, field training officer, and crime analyst. Dr. Santiago is the recipient of several prestigious awards including the awards of valor and the National Association of Police Organizations, Washington D.C. (NAPO) honorable mention awards presented at the annual National Police Week Top Cop Awards Ceremony. Santiago is currently a Visiting Professor within the Justice Administration Program where he serves as a mentor to students wishing to pursue a career within law enforcement. He received his Ed.D. in Higher Education and Organizational Change from Benedictine University; a Roman Catholic institution located in Lisle Illinois. Dr. Santiago has written several articles which have been published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented numerous times before several law enforcement agencies and educational organizations within the Midwest.
